This interactive training session providing a potted history of Black Peoples’ presence in the United kingdom. The session starts from the Roman Empire and covers the Tudor and Georgian periods’.

Interwoven within this session is an outline of British race relations and its impact on the Black and White communities including the Uprisings during the 1950’s / 80’s and into the period of ‘multiculturalism’ through to today.

This session provides a solid introduction to Black British history and you will receive information on teaching resources that can be used in the classroom and also during Black History Month.

Most importantly this session will enable you to include all the children within your class when teaching British history.
